THE SKY is being released tomorrow -- but will NOT be available thru  
Amazon.  I am not happy.

The release of the iPad has helped propel the re-vamping of the  ebook  
business model away from the traditional paper book deal in  which a  
bookseller can charge any price they'd like for a title. Now  Amazon is  
being forced into a more eBay-like model in which they get  a  
percentage of the sale, but the publisher controls the  price.  
Apparently Google is coming out with their own ebook reader  and own  
Google Editions store, so it remains to be seen what happens  to book  
prices then.
