Looks like someone has swooped in to take up Warren Lapine on his offer: http://sfscope.com/2010/11/once-again-realms-of-fantasy-i.html
Short version: December issue will be printed (contrary to this story, I think that was one of Warren's conditions of the "$1" sale); April will be on a "dark fantasy" theme (unclear whether they're soliciting submissions or whether it will be from stories they've already bought); the magazine is open for new submissions immediately; Warren is apparently hinting that the editorial staff will remain the same. No word on format. (RoF's magazine-size, 4-color format would have to have been one of its biggest cost-factors.) Sale was to Damnation Books, LLC: http://www.damnationbooks.com/index.php The bi-monthly schedule will continue without a break; sounds like June may be a double issue to celebrate the 100th issue. -- -- eric scoles | [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "R-SPEC: The Rochester Speculative Literature Association" group.
