This Saturday, 4 December 2010, the Fairport Public Library is holding a
"Festive Book Event" from 2-4pm.

We'll be there with 2034 in hand for sale and at least one author will be

Here's what the event includes:
Meet Fairport/Perinton authors who have published a book during 2010.
Children's
titles include: Balancing Act, by Ellen Stoll Walsh. Baby Ballerinas, by
Karen Tran. Fiction includes: 2034: Writing Rochester's Futures, with
science fiction short stories by Craig DeLancey, Nancy Kress, Eric Scoles,
and a dozen more authors of speculative fiction. For Richer, For Danger, a
Finger Lakes mystery by Lisa Bork. Win Win, by Marsha Jones. Diverged in a
Yellow Wood, by James Giancursio. Nonfiction includes: Back Roads of the
Finger Lakes, a Journalist's Sketchbook, by Mark Holdren. Art Therapy with
Students at Risk: Fostering Resilience and Growth Through Self-Expression,

Signed copies of the books will be available for purchase, by cash or check.
Special Book Fair events for children: 2:00pm : Rhythm Connect: Drums,
Music, and Fun, with Ed Keegan, who introduced his book, Drumming Through
the Jungle, at the Local Author Book Fair last year. 2:30pm : Balancing Act,
by Ellen Stoll Walsh. The author will read her newest book and talk with
children about how she wrote and illustrated it. 3:00pm : Stella Stepney's
Volcano Drawing, an art experience designed to enable participating children
to express their emotions through imagery. When children are at a loss for
words to express their strong feelings, art can foster resilience and
growth. And don't forget to look for these other events as part of the
