The R-SPEC board met this afternoon to review current business, elect officers, and discuss the next steps on the upcoming 'Rochester Rewritten' anthology.
The new R-SPEC officers will be: - President: Eric Scoles - Vice-Presiden: Ruhan Zhao - Secretary: Alysse Kulikowski [continuing] - Treasurer: Craig DeLancey [continuing] - Marketing and Publicity: Rob Tyler - Publications Officer: David Henn [continuing] - Technology Officer: Eric Scoles [continuing] About changes to our lineup: Alicia Henn has been an officer continuously since the group was founded, most of theat time as President, and she's elected to take a break from the responsibility. For the time being, she will serve as a Director at Large, along with Janice Carello and Alan Michaels. We're happy that Ruhan Zhao has agreed to serve as Vice President. Ruhan has been a member of the R-SPEC Board of Directors since the group's founding. Rob Tyler is a new member who expressed interest in serving on the board. Rob is a lifelong writer, with extensive experience in marketing and technical writing. Other changes: At last Tuesday's meeting, we discussed two changes we hoped to make in R-SPEC's activities. First, we agreed that we'd get value from having more social activities as a group. To that end, we agreed today to appoint a Social Director. Janice Carello has enthusiastically volunteered to take on that role; you'll be hearing from her soon about Eericon, and in the future about other social events. We also discussed the forthcoming Rochester Rewritten anthology. Keep your eyes open for more word on that from R-SPEC Press Publisher David Henn. -- -- eric scoles | [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "R-SPEC: The Rochester Speculative Literature Association" group.
