I know, and I owe you a private reply on some Unicode chat.
Even if, by whatever course, I wind up undoing the effect of
some of your recommendations, you appear from over here to
have succeeded in getting things roughly on the right course
and, more generally, at having done a whole bunch of
consciousness-raising about the form, function, and resulting
excellent value of Unicode. I don't mean to gush but I did
want to publicly balance my position in our earlier tiff.
