That's news to me. I was under the impression that
several Scheme compilers expand letrec expressions
into a melange of lambda, procedure call, variable
reference, assignment, and if expressions.
That sounds right to me. All I'm saying is you need the melange, not
just lambda. Sorry for the lack of clarity.
