I'm sure I should have raised this before, but now that registration is nearly upon us... The period for public comment ended back in November. During that period, nobody objected to this requirement. So it is too late to change it now. Why 75 words? It only takes 13 for me to say "Guile is an implementation of Scheme, and I am one of its maintainers." What are you looking for in the Statement of Interest that a simple statement like that does not provide? I guess we're looking for more words... If this has already been discussed to death in the past, please feel free to point me to that. No, actually, it wasn't discussed at all. The steering committee picked that number out of the air on the theory that if anybody had a problem with it, they would object during the comment period. Nobody objected. Also nobody objected to the requirement that all voters must wear rubber clown noses 24 hours a day during the voting period.
