What inconvenience?  What lack of respect?  It is a matter of a few 
minutes to write a bit of code to convert all your old code to lowercase 
symbols.  You've already spent more time arguing about it than it would 
take you to accommodate the change.

PS: FWIW (essentially zero, but I'll say it anyway), I don't like case 
insensitivity because it causes people to type symbols in ALL CAPS. 
LET, LAMBDA, and DEFINE give me nightmares of PRINT, LINE, and GOTO
from my GW-BASIC days.
