Way back when(in 2003?), I enthusiastically supported the idea of creating R6RS. I've come to regret that.
I abstained from voting on R6RS because I didn't participate in any part of the discussion. I intend to ignore R6RS as much as possible because it seems to include many rather poor decisions. I jumped in to the case-sensitivity argument because it is one of my pet peeves (can we argue about left-to-right evaluation next?). In my eagerness, I forgot the purpose of this mailing list. Since I have no interest in R6RS nor in any RnRS that cannot get the buy-in of several of the people on the `nay' list, I really shouldn't be posting to a forum that is chartered to discuss R6RS and its successor. Especially not to further an argument that will not be solved.
