Oh, and there's no need to apologise - one of the things I'm loving
about this discussion is that even the people I disagree with about
things are awesome people with valid and intellectually challenging
points.

So many Internet debates I get involved with are against ignorant
people brimming with logical fallacies, whose arguments consistent of
them trying hard to find semi-plausible 'arguments' (composed of non
sequiturs, fallacies, and appeals to authority) to justify their
prejudices, who I have trouble not getting angry with - so this is a
real treat!

Yeah, yeah, low standards, I know... ;-)
