This is a really small heads-up for a problem that I just discovered with the
old 7.6 release, in case anyone cares:

Back in December, there was a change to the Makefile, commit 8ef11a9b060,
adding a “—recurse-submodules” call to the GIT_CLONE_ARGS. Unfortunately, one
of my checklist items read

      Also modify makefile to pull correct tag of ChezScheme. Specifically,
        GIT_CLONE_ARGS_qq = -q --depth 1
        becomes
        GIT_CLONE_ARGS_qq = -q --depth 1 -b racket-v7.6

… which encourages me to simply paste the suggested line over the existing one.

I’m happy to see that I put the original line in there to at least allow me to
observe the problem, and in the 7.7 release somehow I magically got it right
(presumably because I simply edited the -b onto the end), but I do see that in
the 7.6 release I simply pasted the suggested line into the Makefile, so it
looks like the 7.6 release doesn’t have the updated line.

Ah well, JFYI

John
