Sorry for this large periode of silence.. But we have been working hard in background :)

A new security conference is going to be done in Madrid (spain) in a week. You can check their website for schedule, talks and more at:

http://rootedcon.es

The con is focused on computer security and reverse engineering and there are some interesting training courses.

From this side we are contributing with a talk about the advances of radare2 showing plans, code, examples, new features and some demos.

The talk will be in spanish. Dunno yet if it will be recorded but the slides will be in english, so everybody can enjoy it :)

The plan is to release radare2 0.4 along the meeting days and the debian package will be ready in few time too. (Thanks sre)

The current state is much better than the expected, nibble and me have been pushing manyefforts on reimplementing and refactoring many features of r1. Full language bindings for perl, ruby, python and lua are provided and automagically maintained by valaswig, graphs are now much faster and code analysis is working, some write support is done in rbin, and much more..

We expect to deprecate r1 probably around summer. Many longtime bugs of r1 has been properly fixed in r2 thanks to the refactoring, and such cleanup results in 10x speed ups in many situations. The code can be still hardly optimized, but we are trying to reach as much features and compact/clean apis as possible.

We hope you enjoy the upcoming release. Feel free to try the current mercurial repository and report bugs, issues, patces, etc..
