Actually few bugs and todo points are left. And we need some testing on the
packaging side.

We need volunteers for packaging r2 on:

- debian/ubuntu ( sebastian reichel?)

You can count on me for Debian. Ubuntu will import it from there,
so no extra work is needed.

Cool!

- archlinux
- gentoo
- windows
- osx

the packaging must include different packages:
- valaswig (necessary for radare1-swig) (depends in vala0.12 and swig 2.0)

Debian (and Ubuntu) have only valac 0.10 and the newest upstream
version is 0.11... are you sure that you need 0.12? Apart from that
swig 2.0 currently makes some problems, so no valaswig on Debian/ Ubuntu
for now.

Yes. The API has changed and I don't want to maintain old stuff. We should wait for the release of vala.. Dunno if 0.11 will be ok or what. Can sb try?

Swig 2.0 is for Go and Java afaik. With swig 1.x should be ok for python/perl/ruby

- radare2

Sorry, I'm not up2date with r2 development - did you include
versioning for the shared objects? It's a requirement for
libs in /usr/lib on Debian (and Ubuntu afaik).

Nope I did not. Any hints? Patch? :)

- radare2-swig ( bindings for python, perl, java, go..)

needs valaswig, thus can't be build ;)

this last package should be splitted into different ones. One per language.

The OSX and w32 packages must be automatized by a makefile or shellscript. And
must require no extra software by the user. I can provide icons.

I can do all this stuff if somebody knows an elegant ,free , scriptable and
batch mode installer software to create msi on windows.

On the osx side. The build must be a fink pkg or dmg..but have in mind that

it would be great if osx and w32 installers reuse the same options script. Optionally we will need to write one.. Coz afaik there's no real solution to
this problem.

I can upload some beta tarballs for the sources if you like. But make dist
should do the job.

I would appreciate a r2 beta tarball :)

Will upload later

I also plan to write some documentation in order to explain the compilation steps required to install alls necessary deps and build the src. Because looks like some people had problems to understand the basics of unix compilation and
crosscompilation.
