We talked about it over IM. That's one of the privileges of core developers. :-) Sorry not to keep others in the loop. Internationalization has come up several times before on this mailing list and I believe I've given the same answer: I'd prefer to wait on Internationalization until after 1.0 (it'll be a 1.1 thing).
