Chales, just remove the /assets/xxx part from the URL.

e.g.
http://demo-assets.radiantcms.org/banner.jpg
http://demo-assets.radiantcms.org/nav-background.gif
http://demo-assets.radiantcms.org/nav-divider.gif
http://demo-assets.radiantcms.org/comment.png
