The hard part is not getting Radiator to accept a phone number instead of a username/password. The hard part is getting the NAS to send an access request with the calling-station-id with no username/password required. In my case (using a Tigris) I could get it to send the access request before the call was answered, with just the calling-station-id, but I couldn't find out the proper way to configure it to then accept the call and setup a PPP session. I may eventually get this working, but it has become a low priority. > -----Original Message----- > From: tom minchin [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2000 9:38 AM > To: Ricardo Guerra > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: (RADIATOR) Never take the easy way out > > On Wed, Jan 12, 2000 at 09:35:54AM +0600, Ricardo Guerra wrote: > > Hi!!! > > Is there any way to authenticate a user only checking the telefon number > > %{Calling-Station-Id} and not to worry about the username or password? > > > Something like: > > <Handler> > <AuthBy FILE> > Filename /etc/somefile > </AuthBy> > </Handler> > > > /etc/somefile would probably look like: > ... > > someuser Calling-Station-Id=12345654321 > > ... > > (I'm a flat file traditionalist, but it seems easy enough to SQL/LDAP) > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > === > Archive at http://www.thesite.com.au/~radiator/ > To unsubscribe, email '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' with > 'unsubscribe radiator' in the body of the message. === Archive at http://www.thesite.com.au/~radiator/ To unsubscribe, email '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' with 'unsubscribe radiator' in the body of the message.
