This is quite a good idea, albeit with one significant drawback, which is that
the address could have been re-allocated between the time that the session in
question finished (and the stop packet lost) and the user trying to reconnect.
I have posted this to the list too, in the expectation that other Radiator
users might have some thoughts on this.
It would be relatively simple to add a Nas-Type of "Ping", so my question to
the list is how many people out there would find this useful? I am thinking
specifically of the somewhat frequent case of different NAS-Port reporting in
radius packets compared to SNMP results. This isn't a perfect solution, but it
may be useful nonetheless.
