Hi All, Craig kindly let me investigate this problem, which has been solved (at least for him). Here is the summary: That version of mysql creates /var/lib/mysql directory with incorrect permissions. The permissions were such that only mysql or root had permission to get to the socket, and therefore to connect to the server. I have fixed it with chmod a+x /var/lib/mysql This seems to be a straight bug in that release of mysql. It used to be that the directory was created with drwxr-xr-x but yours was drwx------ I have added something to the Radmin list On Mar 23, 4:32pm, J.I.Sendoro wrote: > Subject: (RADMIN) Re: (RADIATOR) Install issue for Radmin > > Hi > > I also face this problem, mysql server is running okay, the Radmin > installation has created the tables and when I try to command line > interface I can login to the database using radmin account, also root can > log in okay. > > I'm running RedHat 7.0 with Mysl-3.23.22-6 > > Please Help > > Best Regards > Sendoro > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Original Message <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< > > On 23/03/01, 13:00:47, "Mike McCauley" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote regarding > Re: (RADIATOR) Install issue for Radmin: > > > > Hi Craig, > > > sorry you are having trouble with this.
