Hello Griff -

I would strongly encourage you to download the source for the correct package 
and compile it on your box. Otherwise you will have to rewirte the code in 
SNMP.pm (at least) and it will be extremely messy.

In most cases compiling is as simple as 

        # cd ucd-snmp-4.2.1
        # ./configure
        # make
        
You will find the latest source code here:
