It says: AcctColumnDefTIME_STAMP,Timestamp,formatted-date,to_date\ ('%e %m %Y %H:%M:%S', 'DD MM YYYY HH24:MI:SS') This will result in a an insert statement something like this: insert into ACCOUNTING(TIME_STAMP, ......) values (to_date('16 02 1999 16:40:02', 'DD MM YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), ....) According to further down in the manual %e is actually the two digits of the year. %i is the day of the month. %i The Timestamp day of the month (2 digits) Thanks Martin.
