Most hotels have a portal login regardless of cost. They usually do this to limit the number of consecutive days the same MAC connects to the network so nearby residents don't get free internet.
Also, if you setup an ad-hoc network that won't work. You would need to setup the network in infrastructure mode to allow internet sharing. Most hotels that offer wireless usually have a physical ethernet jack you could use. In this case I have used a portable wireless access point to connect multiple devices to a single access point without using the portal or paying for multiple accounts. http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=346 is the device I have been using. -- jrebeiro ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jrebeiro's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23054 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73156 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
