Hi all AVG is a DOG -- why on earth people running AV software choose this POS is totally beyond me.
If you log on to various Windows Forums you'll find the low opinion of AVG is pretty universal. I'd uninstall it and install say MSE (its free, small and effective) -- Microsoft Security Essentials and updated nearly daily. However your problem in connecting to your network might be that the posts are blocked -- so unblock the ports in your security software. Check also you haven't got any IP conflicts in your Network.
