I'm getting 'An updated squeezebox server version is available', notices on my Mac but when I click update I always get a 'Waiting for System Preferences to quit' message for five secs followed by the password screen. Entering this gives 'Install Results - Please quit Sys Pref before running installer'.
This happens whether the server is running or stopped.
