It is relevant to the specific complaint being made in this thread. As in there are 6-8 complaints and not 50-100 complaints. People tend to extrapolate from 6-8 people having a problem that there are a large number of people having the same/similar problem. The problem is legitimate. It is your inferences that are not.(and the inference made by another person that this problem has turned a large number of Squeezebox products into bricks) But this is not relevant to the problem.
