I summarize your post with "I bought it, it has to work". This is a valid statement and opinion. Unfortunately demanding this, won't help you any further.
So either you are willing to spend time trying to fix your problems now (with the kindly help of us) ... or indeed its the best idea to put the Radio away and use some other clock. I hope you at least told official support once about your problem to make your statement > Logitech has thousands of complaints about this.
