The SB Radio and Firmware are for NiMH batteries. Since the Radio is
the charger, I would not use NiCad or LiIon. I would also not just put
10 NiMH batteries in the SB Radio. It needs the proper parts as listed
in 'this thread'

Proceed at your own risk and your Radio's risk and voided warranty.
Obviously if one returns a Radio that is damaged in the battery
compartment area or will not charge batteries and one didn't BUY a
Battery Accessory Pack from Logitech, then ones warranty is most likely
null and void.
