Yes, AFAIK you first have to connect to MySB.com. Broadband Internet connection is stated as a requirement for the SB Radio. You might be able to share the wireless hotel connection over an ethernet cable between your laptop and the Radio. Or not. If you have the chance to take the Radio somewhere with a direct Internet connection (without a login page in between), you could set it up to your account. Then choose your ad-hoc connection to your laptop and play from there. Remember, you would need to manually give IP:s to both the laptop and the SB Radio, or run a DHCP server on your laptop. I've successfully used http://ruttkamp.gmxhome.de/dhcpsrv/dhcpsrv.htm between laptop and Controller before (windows). Good luck.
