Yes, it's annoying when something you don't need is packaged with
something you do need, but Logitech is hardly unique in this regard.
Like toby10 says, it probably adds $5 to the cost of the package --
annoying, and there are better uses for the money, but that's life.

And I don't understand how in the same breath you can seriously suggest
that the battery should be part of the package. What about all those
users who don't want a battery? Isn't "FORCING" them to buy a battery
also "WRONG"? Really.

And if you're really unhappy with the purchase, take advantage of the
30-day return policy and send it back for a refund.
