It seems that you have to reset the radio occasionally by pulling the power connection. But this is made more difficult if you have batteries because you have to disconnect the battery power too. Another way to reset it is to hold in the main power button for a few seconds until it says "goodbye" and then press it again to get it going again. This works for me when my preset radio stations quit playing and it says nil.
