I have the same issue, could not get the alarm window to patch in. I did a factory reset and still have work to do. I got the patch app installed and selected the alarm window patch which it says installed. I can not see a menu item to allow me to select the alarm window configuration.
Is this meant to be under the screen menu the same as all the others? On a side issue I have selected a screen saver view for now playing but it keeps changing so I must be missing a setting as I get the one I selected and then the default from the now playing menu.
