Last week I turned off my Squeezebox Radio (by keeping the power button pressed for >2 sec) and after that it refused to turn on again.
I tried plugging in on different sockets in the house and plugging in the connector at the base of the unit. Nothing worked. Today I realized the power adapter from one of my external hard drives has the same type connector and provides 12V, 2A and since these are roughly the same specs as the battery pack I decided to give it a go. Plugging this alternative adapter shows the logitech logo however it turns off after a couple of seconds. After I while I realized that I am able to fully boot the radio if I keep the power button pressed continuously. However the moment I take my finger of the power button it shuts off. Using this method I tried to restore factory settings to see if that would fix my power-on issues but no dice. I can only boot to the select your language screen now but am unable to progress since the rotating selector does not seem to work while the power button is pressed. I realize this is a bit of an odd problem and I am not sure if the fault lies with the Radio or the Adapter.
