I have my music on a NAS device and need a Samba client so I can access it. I put it there so I don't have to have the computer on all the time to get music. The Squeezebox App has to run on a full computer.
This code is freely available and I have it installed on my Mvix Ultio but, of course, it is custom to the box/environment it is running on. Can we please have a Samba app to simplify everything for all users instead of having to run a computer to access music on a NAS that is already available via Samba? SMB is its real name and it is simply Windows Networking. The same Samba client could access music on a Windows computer without having to run the SB server code, therefore simplifying that part, too, by using what is already in Windows.
