Actually the different behavior for menu customization was introduced in SBS 7.6. Perhaps you didn't notice it until you installed the CBS plugin. As toby10 says, highlight the item then use the "+" key to bring up a context menu.
The nice (very nice, imo) thing is that now you can do a lot more customization.
