Thanks for the replies. Plugging a jack into the headphone socket cuts the radio's speaker out, and I was hoping a wireless speaker would be cheaper than buying a second radio.
One question: does the SBR have Bluetooth capability? If so, one of these http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/speakers-audio/home-pc-speakers/devices/8087 for £20 and portable speakers I already own would do the trick.
