My comment was based on my experience as a domestic electrician. Some of the jobs I get asked to but have to turn down because they're just not worth doing even if charged less than my normal hourly rate.
For me the cost of the "look at it and tell you its shagged" part could be off set against getting a cheap soldering iron and multimeter. I've got decent kit because I do use it on paying jobs, I'm an electrician but I do make my own LED strip lighting setups to fit in customers kitchens and the like but it's amazing what you can do with inexpensive tools. I'm all for saving equipment that's perfectly usable and arguably superior to current stuff so good luck rescuing it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jimbobvfr400's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56857 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101548 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
