A few months ago my SB radio just wouldn't hold a charge or power up when plugged in. Reading through this forum, I assumed it was a faulty solder joint at the power input. I took it into a local place to fix it and the first thing he did was check the power adapter, and it wasn't working. He had a generic one close to the same specs and it fired up right away. I was able to find a replacement on Amazon for about $10 and all is good. If this happens to you, check the adapter first!
