I've no idea, really. The regular remote supplied with the Radio doesn't
have a numeric keypad, I guess you are using the larger version like I
got with my "Classic" SB3.
So, maybe there is nothing to be lost by using those buttons in the
manner you intend. It may mean, though, that you can no longer use the
remote to enter in letters and digits. I don't know that that matters.
