On a Squeezebox Touch, you can assign the number buttons on the remote to play a preset. I don't think this is possible on a Radio, one reason being there are no number buttons on the remote. On your Radio, navigate to Settings > Advanced > Beta Features > Shortcuts, you may find something usable.
