Maybe they're just not releasing the stuff but the work is underway (a bit
like log4net in the .net world for instance, or many other projects...)

I'm not on the team, but it seems RDT ran a bit out of steam after 0.5 on the one hand, on the other hand they spent a lot of time on the project model etc. (ie. stuff that's not
visible, but essential to implement all the more fancy features).
The 0.6 release profitted from these additions and came out sometime in september

Release planning for 0.7 is under way right now (see their development list), and it seems like lots of goodness is to come. Not to mention, that a lot of potential is in the underlying model (for
analyzing code and code in a project).
BTW: with the current RubyBuzz, RDT is definitely a project to invest some time for (HintHint)...
