It is very unclear which "sharing" we are even discussing here:
- sharing of configuration between editing apps operated by the same
contributor.
- sharing of configuration between contributors.
- or a mix of both.
In any case I would note that making it easier to discover data/imagery layer
availability is an old idea and such information should as a rule not be hidden
in private configuration and always be available for public inspection.
