Yep, this is what I meant before when I said to know your market value. I mentioned it in passing, but I could bang on about it for hours if given the chance. :D In short, it doesn't matter if you're a contractor or a salaried employee, you owe it to yourself to get the most out of any contract rate, salary or pay rise negotiation, and you just can't do that if you don't know what the going rate is.
