*Job* Scrape together a very basic Minimum Viable Product, using open source selfstarter <http://selfstarter.us/> as a base, interlinked with landing page and mailchimp form (or whatever you advise). Selfstarter is built on Rails, CSS, and a little Coffee script.
*Company* *VillageRaised <http://www.villageraised.com/>is a web platform that helps schools fundraise online, by providing them with the tools to tell their story, take donations, and sell products to parents and the local community in exchange for profit share.* *Location* Sydney preferred but not essential, working remotely. I'm in Newtown fyi. *Pay* I know you've heard it before, but the truth is all I can offer at this point is a token amount of about $100 and/or offer of in-kind services. Marketing & communications is my primary skillset, so if you need help with the marketing or business side of your own startup I can help you out. *Duration* Initially 4 hours expected (based on advice from my tech mentor who thought that it would take about 3 hours for someone with the right skills to make minor modifications to the selfstarter code and get it up and running as my MVP). I have a longer term desire to develop good relationships with rails developers in the hope of finding a match for a co-founder and/or knowing the right people to work with in the future - so optimistically this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship :) *Excuses Excuses* I apologise for dropping in here unannounced like this, I know its rude to turn up on your list without first attending your meetups or getting involved in your community, I know that good rails developers are bombarded by offers, and are sick of wannabe 'startup founders' blowing hot air asking you to work essentially for free. The reason I'm posting here prematurely is because this is going through the Founder Institute startup accelerator program, which: a) runs Tuesday nights, clashing with your meetup as well as other events like Co-founder speed dating b) has set me a last minute development sprint deliverable deadline of tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 30th 6pm), which if I fail I may be asked to leave the program (we started with 28, are now down to 9 people, at the 3/4 mark) c) I have gone through my contact list trying to find someone who can help rather than jumping on your forum cold like this, but unfortunately as we know Rails skills are in high demand and short supply so my search has thus far been unfruitful d) on the upside one reason I'm doing the FI program is because it helps develop the business idea thoroughly and we pitch to & meet established players of the startup & VC scene - thus increasing likelihood of business becoming a reality. *Deadline* As mentioned above for the Founder Institute I need to have something to show by tomorrow Tuesday 30th 6pm. I know that is unrealistic, but worth asking nonetheless. If this sounds interesting to you but not within the time frame please contact me anyway, because I still want to pursue this even if I can't meet that deadline.
