Hi there :) AWIA have just released an anonymous survey. As a member of the AWIA Committee, the purpose of this Survey is to increase the profile of the web industry in the media and get a better picture about what it is we do :)
But I want to make sure the Ruby web developers get proper representation, please take the 5 minutes to fill it out, it's only 1 per company though. The following is from the announcement newsletter: How's business? Let's find out what is true about our industry so that we know our strengths and weaknesses. Then we'll know what we should be lobbying for, what we should be promoting and where we should be directing resources. Please help design our future. The survey takes 7 or 8 minutes and is aimed at any person or company in the web design/web development area. That includes in-house development teams, graphic designers and consultants. If building web sites is one of your services, this survey should include your data. You don't have to be an AWIA member to fill it in; we want a mix of members and non-members. For those working in a business bigger than one person, make sure that only one person fills it out on behalf of the company. Please liaise with your colleagues on that. In the survey we explore things like business models, skills shortages, business challenges and pro-bono work. The survey's conducted by AWIA, the Australian Web Industry Association, and is completely anonymous. More than most industries, we understand the power of information. Let's start collecting data about our own needs and turn that into information that helps our businesses and our effectiveness. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby or Rails Oceania" group.
