I saw that Segment.io has just allowed SQL access using Amazon Redshift, which 
is kind of cool (though not strictly relevant).




What reminded me of this is that they’ve also enabled some interesting looking 
analytics services. Generalised and yet useful self-service magic analytics 
seems a hard thing to make  (like a one-size-fits-all CMS), but these could be 
worth a look:
