Apologies for the intrusion, but I’m looking for a few good engineering
leaders and got some great people from Ruby and Rails meetups in the US :)

I’m an ex-CTO running a CTO Summit in Melbourne on Wednesday December 3rd
and Sydney on December 10th in conjunction with YOW! (which I’m presenting
at). I ran a CTO Summit in New York back in March. Thought 20 friends would
turn up, ended up selling out the venue with 110 people in 3 weeks with
speakers from Gilt, MongoDB, Tumblr, Birchbox, Warby Parker, Amplify,
Artsy, InfluxDB, Intent Media and more. Just finished running summits in
San Francisco, Washington DC, a second New York summit and Boston.

We have some great submissions for the summits, but I really want to make
sure we got lots of great submissions as I’m new to Australia so I don’t
have the network I have in most of the US cities.

If you are an engineering leader and/or have practical experiences along
with some great takeaways that CTOs, VP Engineering, team leads and other
people who manage developers to deliver software could learn from, I’d love
if you’d consider submitting to the CFP.

The summit is for experienced CTO’s and engineering leaders. We’ve read the
books and skimmed the blogs. We’re not looking for background, introductory
material or the basics. We’re looking for hard won lessons from your
experiences over the last 2-3 years. if you wouldn’t have been surprised by
your own presentation two years ago it’s probably not advanced enough!
There should also be actionable insights - something we can do with the
information that you provide.

Topics can be anything from highly technical to pure soft-skills. If it’s
something a CTO or an engineering manager would be interested in, it’s
probably a fit. We often have presentations covering process, culture,
hiring and managing as well as architectural and technical topics. Anything
technical should be platform agnostic. Pick something you’re passionate
about. Life’s too short to tell uninteresting stories!

The call for presentations closes on Monday November 17th for Melbourne and
Thursday 20th for Sydney, but we’re accepting speakers on a rolling basis,
so fill it out ASAP as we hope to have most of the speakers locked this
weekend. Email me at *pe...@pbell.com* if you have any questions about the
conference or the CFP. Drop me a line if you think there’s anyone else we
should be speaking to!

Thanks!
