Hi Folks, I've been trying to post more information on the Community Selected Topic idea on Meetup, but their software has decided I'm spamming and blocked my attempts.
Waiting 13 days - and counting! - for support from Meetup themselves hasn't helped. If anyone knows anyone at Meetup, please let them know that they've dropped the ball on this one. So I've given up on Meetup and moved the discussion to the mailing list. So far, we've had the following suggestions: 1) Event sourcing in actual practice 2) Mocking and stubbing tests in RSpec 3) Database schema design (evolutionary design vs. BDUF) 4) What's new in Rails 5? 5) Continuous integration with Rails Any other suggestions? So far I'm leaning towards (2) Mocking and stubbing in RSpec; it's deceptively hard, and it's easy to accidentally write code with 100% test coverage that isn't actually well tested.
