[Rails-spinoffs] File upload

Can anyone recommend a technique or library for uploading files in a hidden iframe?  I came across this http://beta.zapguide.nl/iframe/pork.iframe.js but I was wondering what alternatives are out there.  I don't need to have progress information, I would just like to be able to hook an event when the upload starts and finishes.
