Yes, all the files, including prototype are in the same directory. They
are the only files in there too. Permissions are correct so the web
server can read them.

Including just effects.js allows the page to load, and that seems to
have sorted it, I can now use the Effect effects ...

Does scriptaculous go into some kind of endless loop I wonder?
