I have similar ambitions for controlling browser windows from Ratpoison. And, while Firefox-vimperator & Conkeror are great function/feature-wise, their performance can be a problem for me (high CPU usually). I have been impressed with the recent webkit Epiphany. While it lacks essential keyboard shortcuts - e.g. link hints - it can be fully full-screened [1], feels nippy, and has a nice bookmarks system. Currently, I avoid tabbed browsing, and jump between windows using ratmenu. My next aim is to have a ratmenu that shows only browser windows. Any suggestions as to how groups, workspaces or other ratpoisoness can be employed are most welcome.
