On that page, you write: > The 'default' way to switch windows in Ratpoison is to press C-t-w > to get the window list, find the number of the window you want to > switch to (let's say it's 2), and press C-t-2 to switch. rpbar is a > simple taskbar that gives a permanent display of the windows in the > current group in order to make the first C-t-w unnecesary. I wrote a dynamic window list based on ratmenu as solution/workaround for that issue: http://github.com/xtaran/ratpoison-desktop/blob/master/bin/ratpoison-interactive-window-list.pl I bound it to <C-t> <w> (and the original static window list to <C-t> <W>) so after having pressed <C-t> <w> I just have to choose the window I want to switch to with the cursor keys, press enter et voila... :-) It even can list and switch between window groups with the option "-g" (bound to <C-t> <g> in my case) since recently. Nevertheless, I think rpbar is a neat add-on for ratpoison. I'll probably send in some patches soon for minor issues I found. :-) Kind regards, Axel -- /~\ Plain Text Ribbon Campaign | Axel Beckert \ / Say No to HTML in E-Mail and News | [email protected] (Mail) X See http://www.asciiribbon.org/ | [email protected] (Mail+Jabber) / \ I love long mails: http://email.is-not-s.ms/ | http://noone.org/abe/ (Web) _______________________________________________ Ratpoison-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/ratpoison-devel
